The second general workshop for the NbS-PATS research project was held.

On September 4, 2025, Policy and Governance Workshop for the "NbS for Resilient Societies to Climate Change in Pacific Atoll Nations (NbS-PATS)" research project, funded by the Japanese government, was held in Majuro, attracting a large number of participants. At the workshop, researchers presented interim results, including an NbS perspective that takes into account the role of coral reef ecosystems and the status of related co-design activities with stakeholders. RMI's CCD also reported on the current status and challenges of promoting National Adaptation Plans (NAPs). In addition to technical Q&A sessions regarding each presentation, discussions were held on promoting adaptation measures with an emphasis on communication with various sectors. The interim results and opinions obtained from this workshop will be utilized in further integrating research and compiling findings to enhance the sustainability of atoll islands.
